Pumpaway

The Pump

The pump is mounted to the side of the boiler, and the condensate discharge pipe is connected to it. The outlet is connected to the 8mm discharge tube with and secured with the pipe clamp supplied. The power is connected from the boiler mains supply, and when the power is on a red glow shows under the cover. The pump turns on for approximately 90 seconds several times a day, and has a noise level of less than 30dB, which means it is very quiet.

Under the cover

The condensate runs into the tank, and when the float reaches the ON level the pump is switched on to discharge the condensate until it falls to the OFF level. The tank contains a stainless steel filter to prevent debris from accumulating around the float switch. If for any reason the condensate reaches the higher alarm level the boiler is switched off until the level falls and then automatically switched on again.
