Condensate disposal the safe and easy way

Condensate disposal from a boiler is easy when there is an accessible internal drain, otherwise an external drain has to be utilised. The problem with external drains is that when freezing weather comes the pipe is liable to freeze (even insulated pipes), and if that happens the boiler will stop working at the worst possible time of year.

Atmos Innovations have now launched two products for condensate disposal where an internal drain is not easily accessible.

CONDENSAWAY, our patented technology which means NO DRAIN is required, and the condensate delivery will NEVER FREEZE UP. Approved for use with the Ideal Logic and Vogue range of condensing gas boilers, with others to follow.*

PUMPAWAY which enables the condensate to be pumped to a remote internal drain though a small flexible delivery tube which can be used on any boiler **.

Condensaway

The Condensaway system comprises a small condensate pump which is mounted to the side of the boiler or below using the optional wall mounting plate. The condensate flows from the boiler into the pump, which discharges the condensate at high pressure into a 4mm ptfe tube, along the flue pipe and out through the fine misting nozzle at the terminal. In sub-zero weather the tube can freeze but it is quickly melted by the hot flue gas when the boiler starts up and away it goes.

Pumpaway

The Pumpaway system comprises a small condensate pump which is mounted to the side of the boiler or below using the optional wall mounting plate. The condensate flows from the boiler into the pump, which is then discharged through an 8mm diameter clear polyethylene tube to an internal sanitary waste pipe with our special connector. This flexible tube can run up to 30m in length, and can go up or down a height of 5m (it must not be run in unheated spaces).  Job done.
